The money is in the list. Unless it's the wrong list. 😮

Let's talk about lead magnets. Because they're important. But not necessarily the way you think.

The reason that everyone talks about how profitable your email list can be, isn't because once you hit some arbitrary milestone money will automatically start flowing. 💸

People with profitable lists build them intentionally. ❗

The lead magnets (or freebies, whatever you want to call them) aren't random. They're targeted. The people that will be into this freebie are ALSO ones who very well might be interested in your course, or your blog posts, or your affiliate links, or whatever. 🤯

When designing your freebie(s), don't just pick a topic because you think it'll bring in subscribers. Think about the KIND of subscribers it's attracting.

You could have thousands or tens of thousands of people on your list, but if they're not targeted, they're not going to magically turn into instant profit. 💰

That's why you SHOULD be list-building 24/7 with freebies. But only the targeted ones. 💹

Give me a thumbs up in the comments if you're into it! 👍👍👍

⛔ STOP CREATING YOUR DIGITAL COURSE ⛔

Not because I don't want you to create one. But because I want you to do THIS first.

(And it's free).

My signature course is launching this fall (❗❗).

But I'm not creating it right now. I'm not working on the sales page or outlining a webinar. And who knows what the FB ads will look like.

✨ What I'm doing now is *educated planning* ✨

Before I do all that other stuff.

Because I am not doing to make important decisions on the fly. I am going to make them based on research, based on talks with my team, based on interviews.

This is the secret behind a course that changes your life and a course that flops. You need to have a STRATEGY for every aspect of course and the marketing/sales process. You need to do research. You need to interview people in your target market. You need to know who you're talking to.

💫 You need to *strategize* 💫

I share this so that you don't spend precious time and money creating a course that sits on the shelf.

Do your prep work.

Deal?

Give me a "heck yes!" in the comments if you're on board! 👍

*cheers to your success*

✨ IF YOU'RE AN ASPIRING COURSE CREATOR, THIS IS FOR YOU ✨

It's official, my new course (making its way into the world this November) has AT LEAST 200 lessons, based on my preliminary outline.

That's like, a lot. And I'm creating it myself. 😮

So how am I not going crazy? Here are a few tips...

👍 Make a good outline. Include every module, every lesson, and the main points you want to make in the lesson. Some people write full scripts, but personally, that's not my jam. I do rely heavily on my outline though.

👍 Go in order. Don't make one lesson for module 4 and then 5 lessons for module 6 and then 2 lessons for module 9. Create module 1. Then create module 2. And so on. It's more efficient, and it'll help make sure that you're not leaving any knowledge gaps since you'll see how it all comes together.

👍 Keep it simple. Your slides don't need to have 45 design elements and your videos don't need to be professional edited to have crazy transitions and intros and outros. If you want to do that stuff, you can, but it's not necessary. People aren't signing up for your course because your slides look cool. They're signing up because they want the transformation you're promising. You don't need amazing slides for that.

Keep these 3 things in mind, and you're going to have a much easier time creating your course.

And the easier it is, the faster you can create it, and the faster you can SELL it. 💸

Leave a comment below 👇 and let me know about a course you're considering making! I ❤️ hearing this stuff!
